We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm, in the Emerald Room of the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, Buffalo, NY. The exceptions are the last week of August and the first week of September and mid-December to first week of January. Both set and ceili dances are taught. No partner needed, no special dress---just be comfortable. We have a ton of fun, so "Tar damhsa liom" (come dance with me) Weekly Dancing Classes! Celtic Seisiun at Nietzsche's Where: 248 Allen St. Buffalo 716-886-8539 -- When: Saturdays from 4-?pm Enjoy zesty Irish tunes and songs at a venue with a reputation for attracting distinctive musicians and music lovers. This seisiun has attracted a loyal listenership and features County Clare fiddler, Ed Dillon, members of Trefoyle, and the occasional piano accordion break from Bill the Bartender. Regional talent from as far as Pennsylvania, Toronto and the Finger Lakes drop in regularly. Free Guinness round for musicians. Level of playing gravitates from Intermediate to Advanced, but all welcome. Lodging available for out-of-towners given advanced notice. |
