Irish (and Irish at Heart) Needed to Work at Erie Canal Site

Volunteers Sought for Buffalo Irish Festival at New Canalside Venue

Buffalo, N.Y., June, 2012 - Just as the Irish were instrumental in building the Erie Canal at the turn of the last century, manpower - Irish or Irish at heart -- is sought at the same site a century later for this year's Buffalo Irish Festival!

The 31th annual cultural festival, to be held at Canalside on Buffalo's waterfront, is seeking volunteers to serve as Ambassadors throughout the three-day festival, held August 24-26. Ambassadors will serve as guides for visitors to the festival, provide directions to the many entertainment options, answer questions and provide information to festival-goers. A variety of shift options are available.

All ambassadors will receive free admission to the Festival, and a special "Irish Ambassador" tee-shirt.

For more information or to volunteer, email us at BufIrish@aol.com.
