NO IRISH NEED
APPLY
Buffalo Irish
Festival Seeking the Irish (and the Irish at Heart!) as
"Ambassadors"
Buffalo, N.Y.,
July 13, 2011 - Unlike 19th Century America, when the Irish were
openly discriminated against with "No Irish Need Apply" signs and
sentiments regarding employment, The Buffalo Irish Festival is
actively seeking the Irish (and the Irish at heart) for work!
The 30th annual
cultural festival, to be held downtown in the Buffalo Statler
Building, is seeking volunteers to serve as Ambassadors throughout
the three-day festival, held August 26-28. Ambassadors will serve as
guides for visitors to the festival, will show guests around the
newly refurbished Statler, answer questions and provide direction and
information to festival-goers. A variety of shift options are
available.
All ambassadors
will be invited to an exclusive Preview Party on August 25 and will
receive free admission to the Festival.
For more
information or to volunteer, email bufIrish@aol.com.
